The Penrith Panthers have given Jaeman Salmon a chance to prove himself in 2021, signing him to a one-year deal.
Salmon, who was most recently at the Parramatta Eels, offers solid utility value and is excited at his chance with the Panthers.
“I’m excited to be part of such a strong squad and can’t wait to rip in,” Salmon said.
“From Ivan (Cleary) to the players, there are a lot of people here I can learn from and continue to develop my game.
“I’m focused on training as hard as I can so I’ll be ready to go in whatever role they need me to play.”
Over three seasons, Salmon, a former NSW U16’s and U18’s representative, played in 17 NRL games for the Eels.
With an opportunity waiting in the wings, the club has backed Salmon to stake his claim for a spot in 2021.
“Jaeman is a young and talented footballer whose career was effectively put on hold last season,” Panthers General Manager Rugby League Matt Cameron said.
“He comes to our club seeking a fresh start and the opportunity to work towards realising his full potential.
“Jaeman’s ability to play a number of positions provides our squad with valuable depth heading into 2021.”
